KATS Cake Studio is a bake-to-order dessert shop specializing in high-end wedding cakes, celebration cakes, and dessert tables. All of our desserts are skillfully and passionately crafted using high quality ingredients and the utmost attention to detail. KATS Cake Studio’s mission is to create beautiful cakes that taste even better.
KATS is owned and operated by Katrina Miyares. Originally on a path to become an accountant, Katrina quickly realized making desserts was her calling. She started her career in food working for Giorgio Rapicavoli at Eating House, then moved onto Michael Beltran’s Ariete, where she helped open Chug’s Diner and eventually earned her position as pastry sous chef under Devin Braddock.
Katrina’s love for cakes began while working under Frederic Monet at Faena Miami Beach. After learning the basics, she honed her skills as a pastry chef and cake decorator at one of Chicago’s most prominent luxury cake shops, ECBG Cake Studio, under the direction of Erin Martin.
Katrina took her talents back to Miami in January 2025, which is when KATS Cake Studio was born. And for the grammar nerds, KATS is an acronym for Katrina’s Artisan Treat Shop!
